Multiple Engine Build Sheets Available for Small Block Chevrolet GEN1 Fuel Injected & Carbureted Applications
Engine builds by Marc R Asposito were developed following Engine Math rules developed by David Vizard and Smokey Yunick. Along with using and recognizing Chevrolet's Engine Development teams years of proven Vortec technology along with Edelbrock and AFR part recommendations.
For Efficiency; to optimize VE Volumetric Efficiency per application at specific RPM Ranges for computer controlled and carbureted engines. Factors such as compression stack, quench, head intake ramps, intake runner flow, induction size for optimal port velocity, vacuum requirements, CFM requirements, exhaust scavenging, valve sizes, aluminum vs iron, vehicle usage, vehicle weight, tire size, gear drive ratio, and environmental variables - to name a few.
For Reliability; tolerances such as minimum piston compression height to give your engine a chance at a longer life. Minimum Rod/Stroke Ratio's to reduce piston rocking and bore wear. Maximum Static Compression Ratio to reduce detonation. Piston Speed - when Forged is needed over Cast.
Performance; simulated dyno graphs of each build show power output every 500 RPM at an optimal timing degree. Combination of parts creating maximum Torque and Volumetric Efficiency at the RPM Range your vehicle needs it most.
